What a BEAUTIFUL day at Lake Rabun for the 2013 Lake Rabun Wooden Boat Parade (aka Regatta). The sun came out and the wooden boats ran beautifully. Hats off to ALL the boat owners and their mechanics for giving their Wooden Boat lots of tender loving care! These boat are truly beautiful - my photos don't do them justice! FYI - 99% of these photos are not cropped... The lens used was a Nikon vintage 135mm 2.0 with a built in rear or front diffuser. I have no idea how old the lens is - but it designed for Nikon 35mm film cameras! You'll see on occasion that focus was 'slow' but the colors and ability to diffuse the background makes this one of my favorite lens for the Wooden Boat Parade.
